Historical Film Festival in Amsterdam: 23-27 August 2010



The European Union of National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) organizes together with the Dutch Association for History, Image & Sound (GBG) a European Historical Film Week during the CISH conference. Ten countries will show their best/most interesting/most underrated/most prestigious historical movie. From Monday August 23 until Friday August 27 every evening two movies will been shown in De Doelenzaal, Singel 425, Amsterdam (University Library entrance). Every movie will be introduced.

9 PM Merry-Go-Round, director Zoltán Fábri (Hungary 1956)

August 26
7 PM An unforgettable summer, director Lucian Pimtilie (Romania 1994)
9 PM Juana la Loca (Joanna the Mad),director Vicente Aranda (Spain 2001)

August 27
7 PM Ucho (The Ear), director Karel Kachyna (Czechoslovakia 1970)
9 PM Hasenjagd (The quality of Mercy), director Andreas Gruber (Austria 1994)
